Bilan EUROMARITIME 2024 : une édition record !

Le salon EUROMARITIME 2024 a fermé ses portes ce jeudi 1er février après trois jours consacrés à la promotion de l’économie bleue et aux technologies maritimes d’avenir. Au terme de cette sixième édition, marquée par une progression de 20% du nombre de visiteurs par rapport à l’édition 2022, EUROMARITIME s’affirme encore davantage comme un salon maritime de référence pour l’Europe du sud et le bassin méditerranéen.

EUROMARITIME launches the EurAfrican Maritime Forum (FoMEA)

EUROMARITIME, the maritime industry exhibition which will be held from 30th January to 1st February 2024 in Marseille (Parc Chanot), announces the creation of the first EurAfrican Maritime Forum (FoMEA), dedicated to promoting blue economy and maritime development in Africa. This event within an event, which will bring together African maritime players with projects, institutions, port authorities and shipping company managers, will take place on Thursday 1st February 2024.

Decarbonisation at the heart of EUROMARITIME 2024

The EUROMARITIME trade fair will be held from 30 January to 1 February 2024 in Marseille (Parc Chanot) against a backdrop of major changes in the maritime sector. The Agreement on Decarbonisation of International Maritime Transport concluded by the IMO on 7 July 2023, the Green Deal and new European regulations, implementation of the Climate Act and resilience: the blue economy is facing up to the challenges of the ecological transition at every level.

EUROMARITIME 2024 goes international 

EUROMARITIME 2024, the exhibition for maritime industries and blue growth, will be held at the Parc Chanot in Marseille from 30th January to 1st February 2024. This new edition will be marked by the acceleration of the exhibition's international expansion. EUROMARITIME 2024 will welcome delegations of buyers from several countries in the Mediterranean basin, the Middle East and Africa.

Christophe CASTANER, new chairman of EUROMARITIME :the ambition of a low-carbon maritime industry in support of the blue economy

Christophe CASTANER president of the port of Marseille Fos and former French Minister of the Interior will be leading the 2024 edition of EUROMARITIME. Elected to the head of Marseille Fos port in November 2022, Christophe CASTANER leads the Supervisory Board which defines the seaport’s strategic orientation with the clear objective of “reconciling environmental excellence, competitiveness and economic atractiveness”. To ensure stable growth of the “Grand Port”, its president is firmly committed to supporting projects aimed at decarbonising the maritime sector : "I believe that we are currently witnessing the beginning of a great revolution driven decarbonisation".

Euromaritime Maritime business is booming in Marseille

The second edition of Euromaritime in Marseille closed its doors on a positive note after three days of rich and productive exchange. Exhibitors and visitors were present despite the return of the covid-19 epidemic and the postponement of the exhibition, initially scheduled for February. Innovation, employment and decarbonization were at the heart of this key event for marine industries and the blue economy.
