Decarbonisation at the heart of EUROMARITIME 2024

The EUROMARITIME trade fair will be held from 30 January to 1 February 2024 in Marseille (Parc Chanot) against a backdrop of major changes in the maritime sector. The Agreement on Decarbonisation of International Maritime Transport concluded by the IMO on 7 July 2023, the Green Deal and new European regulations, implementation of the Climate Act and resilience: the blue economy is facing up to the challenges of the ecological transition at every level.

Christophe CASTANER, new chairman of EUROMARITIME :the ambition of a low-carbon maritime industry in support of the blue economy

Christophe CASTANER president of the port of Marseille Fos and former French Minister of the Interior will be leading the 2024 edition of EUROMARITIME. Elected to the head of Marseille Fos port in November 2022, Christophe CASTANER leads the Supervisory Board which defines the seaport’s strategic orientation with the clear objective of “reconciling environmental excellence, competitiveness and economic atractiveness”. To ensure stable growth of the “Grand Port”, its president is firmly committed to supporting projects aimed at decarbonising the maritime sector : "I believe that we are currently witnessing the beginning of a great revolution driven decarbonisation".

Euromaritime Maritime business is booming in Marseille

The second edition of Euromaritime in Marseille closed its doors on a positive note after three days of rich and productive exchange. Exhibitors and visitors were present despite the return of the covid-19 epidemic and the postponement of the exhibition, initially scheduled for February. Innovation, employment and decarbonization were at the heart of this key event for marine industries and the blue economy.

Euromaritime : it all starts tomorrow, Tuesday 28th June, at Parc Chanot in Marseille!

The main players in the maritime industries and in current and future Euro-Mediterranean blue growth will meet in Marseille starting at 9am this Tuesday 28th June for the opening of the 5th edition of the international EUROMARITIME exhibition. This year's event will focus on the key themes of innovation, energy transition and employment.

Marseille leads the way in the blue economy

France is a leading maritime country thanks to the size of its marine territory and the importance and performance of the players in its marine industries. Promoting innovative blue growth, generating jobs and respecting the environment are all promising prospects of the maritime sector in France and on the international scene. This is the ambition of the 5th edition of the Euromaritime exhibition. For the second consecutive year, Marseille, as the crossroads of Mediterranean Europe, will be hosting the biennial event for companies from the maritime world in Europe, France and the Mediterranean.

The maritime economy is back in force in the city of Marseille with the Euromaritime exhibition which will open its doors from 1st to 3rd February 2022 at Parc Chanot in Marseille. Innovation will be at the heart of this Blue Growth exhibition.
